Gift Vouchers

Need gift ideas? Our web store is open!

If you would like some gift ideas AND would like to support a small local business this year, we have some good suggestions for you in our online store.

Our popular pillows are back in stock

The Complete Sleeprrr pillow has always been popular ever since we started selling it around 9 years ago and the demand online particularly has has been amazing. This may be because there doesn’t appear to be many places that sell a pillow that is so adjustable. Many of our clients find this pillow to be the most comfortable and modifiable pillow they have tried, and compared to other orthopaedic pillows is very good value.

Memory Foam pillow

For more information, please see our Complete Sleeprrr product page.

What about a gift voucher?

If you know someone who would benefit from massage, chiropractic or shockwave treatment, then a fantastic gesture would be to get them a gift voucher.  They last for up to 12 months and I’m sure they would appreciate it!

SPorts and Remedial Massage

We are now open for massage, chiropractic & shockwave!

Hello again! We hope you are well 🙂 We’ve been back open for Chiropractic and Shockwave for over a month now with our qualified Chiropractor Chris, and even though it’s been different, we hope you haven’t noticed too much of a change.

Although all of the extra cleaning procedures, spacing out of appointments and PPE mean that our costs have actually increased and we are seeing less people, to help our patients during these tough times, we are keeping our prices the same for now. Hopefully it’ll get back to normal soon, but unfortunately we may have to see how it goes over the next few months as to whether we need to increase our charges a little to cover the extra costs.

It’s been a tough time for small businesses like ours over the last few months, and will continue to be tough for a while yet. We are asking for your help by simply letting other people know we are here. It only takes a few minutes, so if you’re happy to help us please do.

You can do this by giving us positive reviews on Google, or by hitting the like or “Invite friends” (click the three dots “…” then “Invite friends” option in the page menu next to the “Share” button) on our Facebook pages. We would really appreciate the support 🙂

That being said, we are relatively busy at the moment. Lock-down seems to have brought about a few aches and pains! Chris has increased his clinic hours from the start of August to cope with demand, and also started seeing new chiropractic patients face to face again. He will also be changing his hours slightly from September.

The biggest news is that Sports and Remedial massage therapy will be starting up again from August! Yay!

SPorts and Remedial Massage Therapy

Yes, Matt and Liesa are back! Again, there will be some procedural changes, but hopefully you won’t notice anything significant. Online bookings are now open for sports and remedial massage in Stafford, but you can also call 01785 530911 for an appointment..

The current situation regarding opening our doors…

Wednesday 27th May 2020

Hi to all our lovely patients and friends! We are  missing you, and we haven’t forgotten about you! We hope that you and your families are staying healthy and well.

We’d just like to give you an update on the current situation at the clinics given some of the recent events and news over the last week.

As I’m sure many of you know, our Stafford clinic is contained within a gym environment. This means that our re-opening will be at the discretion of when they are permitted to start opening their doors over the coming months. Until then, sadly the Stafford clinic will remain unavailable for both chiropractic and massage appointments.

Stafford clinic

At our Newport clinic, due to the nature of multiple therapists usually working from these premises, we are looking at ways and means of allowing one person at a time to use the clinic so that there is minimal risk to people visiting for treatment.

This is proving to be a challenge, but our number one priority is the safety and comfort of our clients and staff. The virus hasn’t gone away, and you can be rest assured we are working hard to come up with procedures in place that will minimise risk to everyone. This means creating risk assessments and clinic procedures, sourcing protective equipment and the waste management needed to follow all guidance so that we can open our doors with the least risk to you and our staff. This is time consuming (and expensive) and I’m sure you can understand that with the hands-on nature of our work it is not straightforward.

With that in mind it does look like things are starting to calm down and we are heading towards a new “normal”. Realistically, we will be hoping to open our doors to urgent cases from mid-late June or early July depending on guidance over the next week or two. There will be procedures in place to keep all of us as safe as possible and we will provide further details once we know a date.

The important thing to realise is that we have not abandoned you! We are still here to help if you are struggling. Our chiropractor is volunteering free support to any existing clients that are suffering via email, telephone or even virtual consultations if necessary, and then see you hands-on when we re-open again.

Chris - Chiropractor

Whilst it creates economic challenges for our small business to remain closed, we feel that your health and safety, and that of others working within our clinic, is of much greater importance.

We understand it may be frustrating being unable to access hands-on care during this time, and below is a graphic to explain the important key reasons behind why our clinic remains closed.

During these challenging times, we appreciate your support and understanding. Thank you, and stay well and safe.

Covid-19

Why our clinics remain closed

Monday 11th May 2020 – current Covid-19 position

Following last nights announcement from the government, the safety of returning to face-to face appointments remains unclear and our position hasn’t changed.

We’re all looking forward to when lock-down can be eased. Until the Government and our professional association advises we can safely return to work, we are sorry to say that Pure Health Chiropractic & Wellness will not be offering in-person appointments.

It is important to us that we can safeguard patients visiting our clinic, as well as our practitioners and staff. We have been working hard behind the scenes reviewing how the clinic currently operates, and what changes will be made in order to reduce risk to those visiting our clinic.

We are following robust advice and guidance from the British Chiropractic Association to help us and will advise you of any changes as soon as we have a firm plan.

Whilst it creates economic challenges for our small business to remain closed, we feel that your health and safety, and that of others working within our clinic, is of much greater importance.

Squatting to help your low back and hips

The squat is one of the most fundamental movements to help keep our hips mobile and strong, and to help spare our low back from too much stress and potential injury. Being able to squat with a good movement pattern is a good indicator of general health and is something we should all be able to do.

Unfortunately, with a more sedentary lifestyle nowadays, particularly sitting, the ability to squat properly is being lost. Here, our chiropractor, Chris gives you some tips to help get that movement back!

To be able to squat properly takes good spinal stability, good gluteal/hip coordination and a good “hip hinge”! If you struggle with any of these areas, practice these too below:

Dear Pure Health patients (both current and potential),

The situation and advice about this outbreak are ever-changing and fast-moving. We advise above all else to try to get your information from official, science-based sources and to avoid hearsay on social media. The media has made this the most discussed public health crisis ever, but this can have the effect of making it difficult to discern fact from fiction.

Please also refer to the PHE guidance if you have any questions about when or whether you should be limiting social interactions or self-isolating.(https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus- covid-19-information-for-the-public)

Furthermore, if you have reason to believe that you have been in close contact with someone who has coronavirus, you should call your GP or, if you feel it’s more urgent, NHS 111 and follow the guidance provided.

What you can do to help avoid potential spread of the virus:

  • wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds
  • always wash your hands when you get home or into work
  • use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
  • cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
  • put used tissues in the bin immediately and wash your hands afterwards
  • avoid close contact with people who have symptoms of coronavirus
  • only travel on public transport if you need to
  • work from home, if you can
  • avoid social activities, such as going to pubs, restaurants, theatres and cinemas
  • avoid events with large groups of people
  • use phone, online services, or apps to contact your GP surgery or other NHS services

Please don’t:

  • do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean
  • do not have visitors to your home, including friends and family

Advice for people at high risk

If you’re at high risk of getting seriously ill from coronavirus, there are extra things you should do to avoid catching it.

These include:

  • not leaving your home – you should not go out to do shopping, visit friends or family, or attend any gatherings
  • avoiding close contact with other people in your home as much as possible

Read the full advice on protecting yourself if you’re at high risk from coronavirus on GOV.UK.

Who is at high risk?

You may be at high risk from coronavirus if you:

  • have had an organ transplant
  • are having certain types of cancer treatment
  • have blood or bone marrow cancer, such as leukaemia
  • have a severe lung condition, such as cystic fibrosis or severe asthma
  • have a condition that makes you much more likely to get infections
  • are taking medicine that weakens your immune system
  • are pregnant and have a serious heart condition

Please be assured that we are keeping up to date with all developments and advice from both the Government and Public Health England and will continue to take the necessary precautions.
