Our Approach to Chiropractic & Massage Care
Good movement, strength and control are essential to health. Injury and pain can often affect some or all of these areas.
At Pure Health Chiropractic & Wellness, we specialise in chiropractic treatments and massage therapy for people in and around Newport and Stafford. Our goal is not just relief, but lasting wellness - addressing the root causes of pain for good.
How we work
We will always do our best to help you to achieve a long term solution through enabling better movement, stability and control of your body, and giving you the power to better manage your own health.
Although manual therapy is often very effective, we also appreciate the importance of rehabilitative exercise and functional re-education in your recovery from injury as well as maintenance of overall health. As such, we will often advise on lifestyle, posture, exercise and specific training to help you on your way.
We follow a four-step process that ensures you get clear communication, effective treatment, and sustainable results:
Your road to recovery
Step 1. Discussion & History
We begin by listening to your story — your pain, prior treatments, lifestyle, posture, and any concerns you have. This helps us tailor a plan for chiropractic care or massage therapy, or a combination, based on what’s right for you.
Step 2. Examination
We undertake a physical exam including posture, joint movement, muscle strength, and nerve function where required. We will be open and honest about our findings and explain why you may need chiropractic adjustments or massage therapy (or both). If we think you need referral, we can arrange that too, including scans.
Step 3. Treatment
We will discuss your case clearly with you prior to your care, and (if applicable) you will receive treatment at your first visit. Treatment varies depending on individual circumstances and may include: Chiropractic adjustments (spinal manipulation) if applicable; Massage therapy; Soft tissue work, mobilization, or other manual techniques.
Step 4. Rehabilitation & Maintenance
As you progress through your care plan, we will often give exercises and advice to build and maintain good movement and function. This can be at home, or with structured personal trainer sessions within the gym (Stafford only), and may also include Yoga or Pilates. We may also recommend regular massage or chiropractic sessions to help release tension and maintain function.
