Your Appointments
You may have already supplied information when you booked, but you may also be asked further health and history questions to help us to provide you with the best quality care. Before doing so, and in accordance with the Data Protection legislation, you will need to read and agree to our privacy policy (available at https://purehealthchiropractic.co.uk/privacy-policy) to commence treatment with us.
We make a commitment to provide a professional and courteous service aimed at helping you achieve and maintain good health. In return, we ask that you make a commitment to your care by keeping appointments, following advice, and by communicating openly with your practitioner.
We ask that you please:
- Arrive on time for your appointment and wait in reception (if available).
- Wait for your clinician to come and collect you when ready.
- Wear clothes that are comfortable and ready for treatment.
- Attend on your own, unless under 16 or require a chaperone.
For emergencies, we will always try to see you as soon as possible depending on how busy the clinic is. If no appointments are available on our online diary, please try calling reception and they will try to accommodate you.
Your Medical History & Examination
At your first appointment, you will be asked about your health and history, including things such as diet, exercise, or your mattress etc. Although some of these may seem irrelevant, they are to help us try to find a root cause of your problem. You may be asked to put on a gown, however your practitioner will always maintain your dignity and privacy. Even if you have pain in only one area of your body, it is normal for your practitioner to observe your whole body to try to identify any contributing factors. When the examination is finished, they will explain what our tests have shown, and discuss a treatment plan and prognosis.
Missed Appointments & Late Cancellations
Should you wish to re-arrange or cancel your appointment, please contact us with at least 24 hours notice if possible. If you miss your appointment without notice or give us late notice, we reserve the right to charge a fee or keep any pre-payment and you will lose your appointment. Fees will be deducted from any block payment credit or gift voucher balance. This is at the discretion of your therapist and is for the benefit of the clinic and all of our clients, since we often cannot fill missed time slots with short notice. Our fee information can be found at https://purehealthchiropractic.co.uk/fees
Illness & Covid
If you have ANY current illness or feel unwell, including Covid symptoms (found at https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/symptoms/), then please DO NOT attend and reschedule your appointment. Pure Health Chiropractic cannot accept responsibility for transmission of any illness (including Covid-19).
Mask wearing and PPE use is no longer mandatory, but is risk-assessed on a case by case basis. To keep everyone safe, strict infection prevention control measures are still in place.
Feedback and Complaints
If you have any concerns regarding your care, please discuss them with your practitioner in the first instance and if this does not resolve your concerns, a formal complaint procedure is available if necessary. Our feedback & complaints information is available here: https://purehealthchiropractic.co.uk/feedback-complaints
Payments & Insurance
We accept card, cash, cheque or BACS payments. If an insurance company is funding your treatment, please ensure that you are eligible for reimbursement prior to commencing care, and make us aware so that we can provide receipts to support your claim. We no longer claim directly from insurers. Medico-legal reports can be provided if necessary (charges apply).
Gift vouchers are normally accepted up to 12 months from date of purchase unless there are exceptional circumstances e.g. severe illness or Covid restrictions, in which case we may extend the expiry date.
Other Treatment Terms
We will always try to accommodate lateness where possible, although if we are very busy you may lose part of your allotted appointment time or be asked to return later in the day.
We reserve the right to refuse treatment if we feel threatened, for repeated lateness or for inappropriate behaviour. Rudeness or abuse towards therapists and staff will not be tolerated at any level. If this occurs you will be asked to leave and not return.
